jstest-gtk-dbg software package provides joystick testing and configuration tool - debug, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install jstest-gtk-dbg
jstest-gtk-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the jstest-gtk-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep jstest-gtk-dbg *
You will get with jstest-gtk-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
